The Kenya Meteorological Society conducted this year's National workshop on 13th of June 2019 at Kenya School of Government, Matuga Kwale County under theme "Responding and Building Resilience To Drought Impacts by the local Community."
5TH National Workshop 2017
The Kenya Meteorological Society held a National workshop at Kisumu Hotel in Kisumu. This was the 5th Kenya Meteorological Society National workshop, organized to create awareness on the importance of weather and climate information in economic development. Held on 24th February
2017, the theme of the workshop was: Hotter, Wetter, Drier, Face the Future. The objective of the workshop was to build a climate-smart community within Kisumu County.

National Workshop 2013
The Kenya Meteorological Society held a National workshop at Farmview Hotel in Busia. The aim of this Workshop was to create awareness on how vulnerable communities could build resilience to climate variability and climate change. KMS recognizes the importance of the involvement of stakeholders – local knowledge and memory of climate change over time can help identify adaptation options; building stakeholder ownership of project design and implementation is key to project success.
